After the thrilling finish last weekend at Augusta with Bubba's miracle shot from the trees on the second playoff hole, there is no rest for the PGA Tour Schedule.  This weekends stop at Hilton Head for the RBC Heritage, has a special Craigowan connection.  Craigowan's own Drew Symons has reunited as the caddy for theweek with tour player David Hearn in attempt to win and wear the traditional plaid jacket.  David and Drew are leading the field on Thursday at 7:20 am alongside Jeff Maggert and Brendon de Jonge.  On Friday the group tees off at 12:00 so keep an eye out for Drew and David on the Golf Channel.  Good Luck Gentlemen!!!

During the month of March, things have been extremely busy around the golf course and the clubhouse.  On March 3rd, the staff at Craigowan catered the Centry 21 Gala Dinner and Dance which is a local annual fundraiser for the Woodstock Hospital Foundation, Sakura House and the Alzheimer's Society.  Chef Carlos created a fantastic 3 course meal and along with Alicia and her staff we served 500 guests.  This was a true team effort with the grounds crew, proshop and back shop staff lending a hand to ensure it was a successful event.  It was a pleasure to see first hand how our community here in Woodstock comes together to support such a worthy cause and it was an honour to be part of such a fantastic event.  I want to personally thank Alicia, Chef Carlos and all of the staff at Craigowan for the continued hard work and dedication representing the Club in our commuity.

I want to commend Jerry, Jon, Jay and the rest of the maintenance staff for the extra effort put forth on a tight timeline to have the course open for the earliest start date in over 25 years!!!  Combined with some great weather and some hard work from the staff our course is in fantastic shape to start off the season and I hope everyone has the opportunity to get in some bonus rounds to start the 2012 golfing season.  Darren, Tim, Taylor and Spencer have been extremely busy preparing the proshop and merchandising all of the new inventory for the season.  Alicia and Chef Carlos have been busy writing new menus and conducting interviews to fill some open postions for the upcoming season.  All the returning food and beverage staff are excited about the early start, and have been anxious to return to the Club for another great season.

Cheers,
Adam
