Verticutting and Topdressing

We've managed to jam in a verticut and topdressing on the greens this short week with the holiday on Friday.  All in all easily the best week we've had in terms of getting lots of work done.  A combination of good weather and no events allowed us to aerate greens and spray fairways this morning as well...2 very onerous tasks.  The fairway spray was a combination of Banner fungicide and Primo Maxx plant growth regulator.  The fungicide spray is the first since the club has approved a preventative fungicide program for fairways...it was dollar spot fungus that ate away at our fairways last summer in the heat, rain and humidity.

The foam balls left behind on the fairways are indicators of where the sprayer booms have been.  This morning Jon and I used both sprayers to expedite the spray in that one of the booms on the big sprayer was acting up...
