We have rented the mini excavator again this week and are working on a couple of required jobs. On Monday afternoon, Jay and I trenched in some additional grounding for 4 irrigation field stations on the course. The digging would have been very difficult by hand as the ground was very hard in places. The point of this work is to disperse lightening strikes by burying copper plates in close proximity. Copper is one of the best conductors of electricity and when used for surge protection, will draw electricity away from sensitive electrical equipment.
