Not much to report except that yesterday was the Men's Member/Guest out here and it was a perfect day. I've played in this event many times and for me it was always fun to be a member for a day and show off our club to my guest. I would encourage all members, both women and men to enjoy their Member/Guest tournaments as they are excellent (and prideful) events. The Pro Shop staff ran a fun pitching contest down the 18th fairway after everyone had finished. Next week we will be spraying fairways likely on Tuesday, doing some herbicide spray around trees and removing several walnut trees sprouting up around #15 tee that are encroaching the tee decks and blocking sunlight. As some summer high schoolers check in, we will be able to start some aesthetic jobs like wood chips around tree clumps, fixing fencing on #14 and painting bridge railings. These are all jobs that are difficult to get to with a small crew. The drainage contractors, I have been promised, will be in on July 2/12 to work on #11 fairway, probably a 3 day job. ...players on #18 yesterday enjoying the event...
