JOB DESCRIPTION: The sous chef will supervise and coordinate the preparation of food according to standards set by the Executive Chef.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Sous Chef will assist in conducting periodic food inventories.
  • Assists the Executive Chef with departmental human resource functions
  • Assists with and oversees ordering of food and kitchen supplies
  • Supervises and coordinates the production of food according to menu specifications
  • Assists the Executive Chef and Cooks in preparation of specific cuisine
  • Inspects quality of food products used to prepare cuisine
  • Ensures all cuisine served to guests follow established guidelines for quantity, quality, appearance, and palatability
  • Checks physical cleanliness of operations
  • Maintains proper working order of all equipment
  • May perform Executive Chef or Cook duties as needed

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of five years job-related experience
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred. Two years supervisory experience required
  • Food Handler Certification preferred
  • Chef de Partie experience preferred (2 years)

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Part-Time Positions

JOB DESCRIPTION: The server will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through setting tables and serving meals and beverages to clientele according to Cardinal Golf Group’s standards and in accordance with Ontario’s Liquor Laws. Maintains cleanliness and order in serving areas.  Works to provide an outstanding customer experience.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a positive guest experience through execution of duties
  • Set up banquet room as requested to include glassware, silverware, linen etc.
  • Attend briefing meetings before events kick off in order to learn function particulars, including member and guest expectations
  • Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Serve beverages and food in the appropriate order so as to ensure consistency throughout the event
  • Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal at the end of each course
  • Abide by all corporate policies, Liquor Laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Replenish beverages when necessary, and check with guests to make sure they are satisfied
  • After the event, reset banquet room in according to specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for future events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION: Making sure all dishes and utensils are washed after use and kitchen areas are kept cleaned and organized.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Making sure all dishes are washed as per the club’s standard
  • Ensuring the dishwasher is functioning properly, clean and the chemicals are filled
  • Keep the dish area organized and clean at all times
  • Assisting chef and cooks with dinner service (on the line) different positions when required
  • Basic prep work in the kitchen as required
  • Cleaning of equipment and machinery as per procedures
  • Responsible to dispose of recycling and garbage
  • Responsible for sweeping and mopping kitchen and associated areas as per closing procedures

  • Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices; identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars

JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep on the golf course along with assisting in the completion of various golf course improvement initiatives as outlined by the Golf Course Superintendent.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily golf course maintenance including cutting rough, fairways, tees and greens
  • Bunker maintenance and preparing the course for play each day.
  • Assist in agricultural practices such as fertilizing, topdressing, verticutting, rolling and aeration
  • Participate in irrigation repairs, head leveling and hand watering
  • Manual labour on construction and renovation projects
  • General property maintenance including tree and shrub pruning, leaf cleanup and hand weeding of bunkers and flower beds
  • Housekeeping duties to ensure all areas on the golf course are maintained in a neat, organized and clean manner at all times
  • Basic maintenance and usage of tools and equipment to ensure they are kept and operated in a safe and orderly manner

JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide excellent customer service while assisting, Director of Golf, Pro Shop Manager, Tournament Coordinator and Pro Shop Staff on day to day operations.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain power cart rental fleet
  • Daily cart set up
  • Wash, clean and general maintenance of power cart fleet
  • Set-up of power carts for tournaments
  • Provide assistance to tournament conveners as required
  • Ensuring that all rental clubs are cleaned and accounted for after use
  • Responsible for keeping the area around the clubhouse swept, free of garbage and generally neat during the day
  • Monitor the locker rooms for cleanliness and supplies as needed (if applicable)
  • Keep immediate work place organized, clean and free of garbage
  • Ensure all power carts are plugged in at the end of the night and charging (if electric)
  • Clean and organize the pull carts as needed
  • Execute a bag drop off system for tournaments
  • Maintain the driving range including picking and cleaning golf balls ensuring there is always an available supply
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Responsible for greeting customers and providing direction as well as assisting them with their golf bags
  • Assist in day-to-day cart set up
  • Responsible for loading golf bags on to carts for customers when required
  • Responsible for checking groups and individuals in at the cart staging/first tee area prior to tee off
  • Introduce themselves to every group
  • Must collect the proper receipts from each group
  • Responsible for recording cart numbers on the tracking sheets
  • Record accurate starting times for every group on the tee sheet
  • Deliver the “Starters Message” as outlined in the policies and procedures including our alcohol policy
  • Must make every effort to ensure tee times are running according to schedule.  Make the Pro Shop aware of any delays
  • Responsible for making sure it is safe for players to tee off and instructing them when to do so
  • Responsible for updating their tee sheets.  The Pro Shop will make every effort to keep the starter informed of any changes
  • Responsible for monitoring and recording turn times as the day progresses
  • Advise groups who are slow between nines in order to keep pace of play and the tee sheet on schedule
  • Notify the Pro Shop of any pace of play issues
  • Assist with tournament set-up
  • Inform his/her replacement at shift change or the Pro Shop at the end of his/her shifts as to any situations of concern on the golf course and any other information that may be helpful to the remaining staff members
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy starter’s hut/area

  • Maintaining pace of play on assigned golf course.
  • Assisting guests 
  • Use the tracking sheets provided by the Pro Shop to monitor and record players progress during their rounds
  • Consistent communication with the Starter and the Pro Shop
  • Enforcing rules and regulations as set forth in Cardinal Golf Group’s Policy and Procedure Manual as well as any temporary rules
  • Enforce Ontario Liquor Laws regarding outside alcohol
  • Ensuring that our guests are conducting themselves in a safe and courteous manner
  • Inform his/her replacement at shift change or the Pro Shop at the end of his/her shift as to any situations of concern on the golf course and any other information that may be helpful to the remaining staff members
  • Assist in tournament set up and organization
  • Fixing ball marks on the greens and divots in fairways
